Chilmark’s small, rural community is located toward the western end of Martha’s Vineyard an was established in 1671 along with Tisbury and Edgartown.

Aquinnah, also known by its former name Gay Head, is the site of the most dramatic natural phenomenon on Martha’s Vineyard – the Gay Head Cliffs.
